INTERPRETING HOURLY RATES (Includes free consultation): 

▪ 8am-5pm CDT, Monday through Friday 

o $70 per hour/per interpreter 

o $80 per hour/per interpreter for Legal Settings 

o 2 hr. minimum 

*If assignment exceeds two (2) hours, we may require two interpreters

▪ 5pm-8am CDT, Monday through Friday/Weekends/Holidays 

o $80 per hour/per interpreter 

o $90 per hour/per interpreter for Legal Settings 

o 2 hr. minimum 

*If assignment exceeds two (2) hours, we may require two interpreters

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 business hours' notice will be billed at 100% of the originally requested time, including any applicable portal fees from the original quote.

  • If the interpreter arrives on site and the assignment is canceled or the consumer is a no-show, the full amount of the original requested time and any applicable portal fees will be billed.

  • Cancellations made with more than 48 business hours' notice will not incur any charges.

  • If the interpreter is dismissed earlier than the originally requested time, the full amount for the original requested time, including any applicable portal fees, will still be billed.

  • *Act of God / Force Majeure Clause: In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control—such as natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, government actions, strikes, or other force majeure events—Sign Language Studios, LLC will not require payment for any services not rendered due to these events. If rescheduling is possible, we will work to accommodate a new service date that is mutually agreeable.

INTERPRETING TEAM:

  • For any request lasting longer than two (2) hours, a team of two (2) or more interpreters will be assigned. Sign Language Studios (SLS) will consider several factors before making the final decision, including the assignment's duration, subject matter, the number of Deaf, Deaf-Blind, or Hard of Hearing consumers, their language needs, and the nature of the assignment.

INFORMATION REQUESTED: 

  • To request services, the requestor must provide detailed information about the assignment, including but not limited to the date, time, approximate duration, location, details about the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, or Hard of Hearing consumer, the on-site contact, and any other relevant information necessary to ensure the best possible services.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES:

  • Parking: Parking charges will be included on the invoice.

  • Portal: Portal fees will apply for any location outside the Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Travel charges will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

  • Last Minute Requests: For any non-emergency interpreting service requests made with less than 12 hours' notice, an additional fee of $5 per hour will apply.

  • Travel:

    • Mileage reimbursement: IRS standard mileage rate for travel over 50 miles round-trip.

    • Airfare or other transportation costs: Billed at cost 

  • Lodging:

    • If overnight lodging is required, accommodation must be provided or reimbursed at cost.

    • Lodging arrangements should be made within reasonable proximity to the assignment location.

  • Per Diem: A per diem of $50 per day per interpreter will be applied for meals and incidentals when overnight travel is required.

  • Travel Time Compensation: Travel time exceeding one hour one-way will be billed at half the interpreter’s hourly rate.

PERFORMANCE RATE (Includes free consultation): 

• Rates vary for each performance. Variables include but are not limited to: 

▪ Venue Size

▪ Number of performers/interpreters needed 

▪ Duration of event 

▪ SLS equipment rental costs

PAYMENT:

  • Payment terms are net 30 days. Please be advised that a monthly fee of 10% of the total amount  due will be charged on overdue payments.
